Bhagavad Gita
The Bhagavad Gita — 18 Chapters
Every shloka page includes the Sanskrit verse, transliteration, Hindi and English meaning, a clear explanation, and the life lesson within. We're building this out chapter by chapter — Chapter 2 is available now.
Use this collection as a guided Bhagavad Gita study path. The chapter pages show the wider argument, while each shloka page slows down for Sanskrit text, transliteration, Hindi meaning, English explanation, and a practical reflection. This makes it useful whether you are searching for a specific verse, learning the Gita for the first time, or returning to a familiar teaching during a difficult season.
The Gita speaks about duty, action, devotion, meditation, the nature of the self, and freedom from fear. Read a verse in context, compare its meaning with the chapter theme, and then ask how it applies to one real decision. For a focused starting point, see our Bhagavad Gita shlokas with meaning guide.
The eighteen chapters move from Arjuna's despair toward discernment and committed action. Chapter 2 introduces the changing body and the enduring self; Chapter 3 explains karma yoga; Chapters 6 and 12 develop meditation and devotion; and Chapter 18 gathers the teaching into a final reflection on duty, surrender, and freedom. Even when only a few verses are available in a chapter, the chapter page provides a clear place to continue your study as new translations are added.
If you are new to Sanskrit scripture, begin with one verse rather than trying to finish the whole text immediately. Read the Devanagari, follow the transliteration aloud, compare the Hindi and English meanings, and write one practical question in a notebook. This collection is designed for both quick verse searches and slow, respectful reading.
For a Sanskrit-first entry point, read the Gita shlokas in Sanskrit with meaning study list. It connects commonly searched phrases such as “Gita shlok,” “Geeta shloka,” and “shlok from Bhagwat Geeta” to the individual chapter and verse pages.
